MILITARY SPOTLIGHT SSGT (E-6) STEVEN C. HUGO (1981) deceased SSGT (E-6) Steven C. Hugo graduated from Wilson in 1981. He served in the US Marine Corps until his death on January 30, 1996 at the age of 32. Steve had been on active duty in the Marine Corps for the past 13 years and involved in combat actions in Liberia, Kuwait and Somalia. Steve was born in Duluth, MN on September 4, 1963. He grew up in Portland and attended Oregon State University prior to entering the Marines. Steve is survived by hi mother, Harriet Hugo, Astoria, OR; his father, Craig Hugo and wife, Dixie, Puyallup, WA; brother, Bob Hugo, Puyallup, WA; sisters, Leslie and husband, Drew Brandt, Portland, OR, Angela Hugo, Puyallup, and Tiffany Hugo, Astoria, OR. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Larson, Astoria, OR and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hugo, Otis, OR and 3 uncles, Don Larson, Portland, OR, Bruce Hugo, St. Helens, OR and Dave Hugo, Orlando, FL. Memorial services for Steve were held February 10, 1996 at the Beaverton Elks Lodge in Beaverton, OR. In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.. |
